About us

CRUSE based in Wachtberg, Germany, founded in Rheinbach in 1979, develops and produces equipment to capture large format originals in highest quality and for particularly high demands. CRUSE is an excellent partner for archives, architects, libraries, photographers, artists, museums, land registries, survey offices and industries such as decor, prepress, and packaging.
Each scanner is constructed in Germany individually according to the requirements of each customer. This defines CRUSE quality as the international benchmark for scanning and reproducing large format originals. CRUSE scanners are installed in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Synchrontable Scanner

The CRUSE Synchrontable Scanner has been the absolute industry standard for years and offers the ultimate solution for digitally capturing materials for wooden floors, furniture design, ceramic tiles and laminates, wallpaper, and fabrics in the design and decoration industry.

For high-quality scans that both preserve the original textures and maximum color accuracy, which requires extensive lighting options, nothing can compete with a CRUSE Synchrontable Scanner.

Technical features:

• 15K CMOS trilinear sensor with 5.6 μm pixel size

• Resolutions up to 2000 ppi possible

• Table with vacuum function and adjustable suction force

• Heavy load up to 450 kg (992 lbs)

• Different light modes: left + right, texture effect, light angle mode, rear light

• Color Management with CRUSE Professional Profile

• Variable Reproduction Angle

Portal Scanner

A new milestone for scanning oversized originals

With the Portal Scanner series, we are able to scan very large originals in high resolution and homogeneous illumination. Through orthoscopic imaging, we guarantee distortion-free digitization of originals in sizes of more than 2 m (78 in) in both dimensions.

The original is scanned in strips using so-called portal technology, and these strips are stitched together in real time. This is made possible by consistently having high precision in both the optics and in the driving movements. The scanning processes and the portal technology are fully automated and do not require any user intervention.

The Portal Scanner series can be produced in different sizes and is therefore adaptable to the unique needs of the customer.

Configuration:

• Scan area and optical resolution (e.g., 600 ppi or 1200 ppi) according to customer requirements

• CCD with 10 μm pixel size

• Telecentric lens

• Scan table according to customer requirements; for example, with a zone controlled vacuum function, or a heavy-duty roller support to easily position heavy originals

• Fully automated stitching of scan strips in real time

• Integrated automatic lighting modes: Left + Right, Texture Effect, Light Angle Mode, Gloss

Compact Scanner Series

Developed and equipped on the basis of the Synchrontable, these compact devices also achieve the outstanding image quality known to our customers. They are available in two standard sizes:

  • Scanner Type: CS 135 ST-T

Scan area: 120 x 60 cm (47.2 x 23.6 in)

  • Scanner Type: CS 85 ST-T

Scan area: 60 x 60 cm (23.6 x 23.6 in)

Both versions (scan sizes) are available with

300 or 600 ppi

300 ppi - sensor 7000 px CCD

600 ppi - sensor 15000 px CMOS

Worldwide unique: CRUSE Flash LED

3D scanning for capturing the surface shape and texture is a demanding task. For a useful result, it requires at least 3 to 4 scans with directional light. Even more scans are needed for color, gloss, and special texture effects. In conventional workflow, this is a time-consuming process, also demanding multiple manual operator interventions.

Introducing CRUSE Flash LED overcomes these disadvantages!

The completely all-new developed LED lightning system optimizes the luminance efficacy (4 x brighter than conventual system). The enhanced color spectrum (CRI 96) guarantees the most natural color rendering with less noise.

The CRUSE Flash LED-system integrates all lighting scenarios needed for normal and Factory (3D) scans, electrically switchable without any manual operator interventions. Thus, up to 11 lighting modes can be scanned in a single pass. This results in an accurate pixel precise alignment of all scans, with a tremendous saving of time.
